Creative Writing
Research and writing have long been a passion of mine. As I work to finish my doctoral degree, I find myself doing more and more creative writing. I find that it provides me with an outlet to rework the ideas and content of my research in playful and more imaginative ways which can lead to unexpected places.
I began critically thinking about creative writing during my undergraduate years, and I achieved a minor in the field. I have since won many creative writing awards, taught workshops on creative writing and speculative fiction, and am now actively pursuing more creative and academic writing, hoping to achieve a fusion of both.
Please find below samples of a range of my writing--academic articles, short fiction stories, and poetry--along with links where available.
